Days 1-3: Santiago de Cuba
From Holguin Airport you’ll travel straight to Santiago de Cuba, either with a rental car or by private transfer. Once you’ve settled into your accommodation it’s time to experience the city’s bustling nightlife first-hand. There’s a lot to see and do in and around Santiago over the next couple of days. Perhaps kick things off with one of our guided tours of the city centre or a visit one of the city’s many museums.
We also recommend exploring the outlying areas, where you will find sights such as the historic Moncada Kaserne, the picturesque villa district of Vista Alegre, San Juan Hill and the Revolution Square. Lastly, a visit to Santiago isn’t complete without making the trip out to the Sierra Maestra or Gran Piedra National Parks.

Days 4-8: Guardalavaca
On day four, you travel two-and-a-half hours north to the beach resort of Guardalavaca. After the excitement of Santiago you might well choose to spend the last leg of your trip in a state of total relaxation on the white, sandy beaches. Or if you’ve still got energy to spare you can go diving in the warm, clear waters. There’s also a marine-life sanctuary a short distance away at Cayo Naranjo where you can swim with dolphins.
Bored of the beach? Not to worry, there are plenty of opportunities for day excursions to the nearby city of Holguín or the island of Cayo Saetia. You can even reach the last one by helicopter if you want to get a birds eye view of the region.
Accommodation: 4 nights at the Playa Pesquero 5***** all-inclusive resort
Day 8: Departure from Holguín
Enjoy your final morning in Guardalavaca. Later, you will travel back to Holguín Airport in time for your return flight to the UK.
